Below are projects that Beth worked on while she served as Chief Librarian and Director of Cultural Services for the County of Huron.

  Goderich Branch Library

Renovation and addition to the original 1905 Carnegie Library was spearheaded by the Maple Leaf Branch IODE as their centennial project. The addition, connecting the 20th and 21st centuries, doubled the floor area of the library and incorporated a street level entry. A new passenger elevator provided barrier-free access to all floor levels. The mezzanine in the addition has been developed as the Reuben R. Sallows Art Gallery.

  Exeter Branch Library

A worn-out and inadequate Carnegie library was replaced with an addition to the Exeter Town Hall which reflected the style of Carnegie libraries in Ontario while providing library service to meet current standards.

  Howick Branch Library

Inadequate library facilities in the hamlets of Fordwich and Gorrie, and an objective of providing a branch library meeting current standards prompted this project to incorporate a new library in the upgrading of the existing community centre which also included improvements to the arena and community centre.

  122 St Patrick Street Rebuild

Following the destruction of our heritage home by the 2011 Goderich tornado, my husband and I rebuilt in the vernacular of the original home and heritage area, incorporating an efficient and functional modern interior. We received an award of appreciation from the Town of Goderich Municipal and Marine Heritage Committee for the rebuild.
