Beth Ross is the former County Librarian and Director of Cultural Services for the County of Huron. She retired in 2011. Before becoming County Librarian in 1988, she worked at the Oxford County Library. She has a Master of Library Science degree from the University of Toronto. She lives in Goderich, Ontario.


Since 2011, Beth has enjoyed an “encore career” helping other libraries meet their goals.

John Thompson  

John Thompson is a self-employed researcher and reporter living in Huron County. He was employed by Administrators of Rural and Urban Public Libraries of Ontario (ARUPLO) to develop benchmarking reports and procedures for the first edition of the guidelines. In the 1980's, he was a Planning Analyst with the Toronto Public Library.

John has a Master of Library Science degree from the University of Toronto, a Master in Environmental Studies degree from York University, and a PhD in Human Development and Applied Psychology from the University of Toronto. He lives in Goderich, Ontario.
